The annual FBI Regional Crisis Negotiation Course (RCNC) is designed to prepare law enforcement personnel to mitigate threats involving barricaded subjects, suicidal subjects, and hostage takers.

Instructed by the Minneapolis FBI CNT Team. The primary focus of this course is teaching students to use Active Listening Skills to greatly reduce risks associated with handling hostage, kidnapping, barricade, and/or suicide situations and increase the options available to FO management in dealing with such events. This course explains the basic premise of crisis negotiation, types of crisis incidents, and terminology as it relates to crisis negotation. Students will learn the importance of workig as a team and the roles of each team member.
-Only available to POST licensed peace officers
-No more than two team members may enroll per team.
